About the Role
Banquet Stewards set up, serve and clear weddings, conferences and social events in hotel ballrooms and banquet halls. The role involves arranging tables and buffets, refilling service stations and keeping event spaces tidy while guests are present. It suits freshers and early-career candidates in Mumbai who are energetic, comfortable on their feet for long events and keen to grow into banquet captain roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up banquet halls, tables, buffets and service stations as per the function sheet
- Serve food and beverages during weddings, conferences and social events
- Clear tables and refill buffets promptly while the event is in progress
- Shift furniture, linen and equipment before and after functions
- Follow hygiene, grooming and safety standards throughout service
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 10th or 12th pass; freshers and hotel management trainees welcome
- Willingness to work long event shifts, late evenings and weekends
- Physical fitness to carry trays and move banquet furniture
- Basic Hindi; basic English is an advantage
- Neat grooming and a polite manner with guests
Preferred Experience
Exposure to banquets, catering companies or wedding venues in Mumbai.
