Safety Officer — Interior Fit-out (EHS & QA)

About the Role

We are hiring a Safety Officer in Thane for a commercial interior fit-out and design-build firm. The role develops and enforces EHS policies across interior project sites, runs risk assessments, drills and incident investigations, and also supports quality assurance through site inspections and QA reporting. It suits safety professionals from construction or interior projects who can work closely with project managers, site engineers and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures and emergency response plans
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, drills and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and near misses and track corrective actions
• Inspect materials, equipment and workmanship against specifications and quality standards
• Maintain safety and quality records and submit QA reports to management and clients
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors and suppliers on safety and quality

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or a related field
• 3–5 years as a Safety Officer in construction or interior projects
• Good knowledge of safety regulations, building codes and quality standards
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Firm, observant and confident with site teams

Preferred Experience

Safety and QA experience on commercial interior fit-out sites.
