Site In-Charge — MEP

About the Role

We are hiring a Site In-Charge for MEP works in Chennai for a commercial interior fit-out and design-build firm. Reporting to the Project Manager, the role manages installation, testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and low-voltage systems in commercial interior projects, leading MEP engineers and subcontractors. It suits engineers who combine strong technical knowledge with site leadership and a quality-first approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage on-site MEP coordination, installation, testing and commissioning
• Review MEP drawings and specifications with design and engineering teams
• Supervise MEP engineers, technicians and subcontractors to schedule and budget
• Inspect installations, resolve deviations and ensure code and safety compliance
• Coordinate MEP vendors, materials and approvals
• Maintain as-built drawings, test records, manuals and warranties

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 2–5 years in MEP execution, preferably in commercial interiors
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, fire protection and low-voltage systems
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

MEP execution on commercial office interior projects.
